"Labor could win" - Turnbull

Lieberal Peter Debnam lost the NSW 2007 election to Labor
OMG. Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse for the Turnbull trash heap, the man himself comes out with this:
Malcolm Turnbull has admitted Labor could win a July 2 federal election.

With opinion polls showing voters evenly divided between the coalition and Labor, the prime minister conceded he might lose the nation's top job.

"Shorten is definitely the alternative prime minister, Labor could win the election," he told John Laws on radio 2SM on Friday. ninemsn
Is this history repeating itself? Is that all he's got now? "OMG Labor could win"?

It instantly took my mind back to that infamous New South Wales election in 2007, where a hopeless Labor gov long overdue for turfing out was contested by an even more hopeless Peter Debnam.

The iconic picture above turned iconic as it portrayed his political hopelessness, literally. Near the end of the election campaign when the polls were decidedly against him, he went on the telly with this big scare thing that OMG this hopeless  Labor gov might get in again to deliver even more hopelessness to NSW. That was his last hoorah. That was all he had left, which did nothing more than seal his fate.

Debnam lost abysmally to an abysmal NSW Labor gov, and NSW had to endure another 4 years of a gov not deserving to govern and imploding in on itself.

Now Turnbull has used that same line. Not at the end of the campaign but even before the official campaign starts.....
